Perfect location and delightful service
We had such a pleasant stay with incredibly warm hosts who made us feel like family right from the start. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring an array of freshly prepared options that were simply delightful. Our room was cozy and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable retreat after exploring Galway. However, the parking situation was a bit cramped during busy hours.

Convenient bus access made getting around easy.
Rooms have very thin walls. noise from corridors was disruptive.

A warm and friendly atmosphere made for a memorable stay. The pancake breakfast was delightful, showcasing the hosts' culinary skills, and the smoked salmon bagels offered were a refreshing touch. However, there were significant issues with communication and room assignments, resulting in a mix-up that left me feeling frustrated. Furthermore, the refusal to accommodate a straightforward payment situation added undue stress to my experience. Despite the charm of the place, these negative interactions left much to be desired.

Above and beyond Irish hospitality
Staying at Almara House was a delightful experience. The breakfasts were unexpectedly vibrant, and Maire made us feel like family from the moment we arrived.
The location is slightly out of town, which may require a taxi or bus ride, but it gives a peaceful atmosphere.

More seating options in common areas would be helpful.

The location was great for exploring shops and street entertainment. We went hiking at a nearby trail and even practiced our swings at a local golf course. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were super helpful, making our stay comfy and welcoming. Would definitely come back!
Only downside was that our room faced the road, which was a bit noisy at night. The windows needed to be open for air, so don’t forget earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

I had a lovely stay at Almara House. The room was spotless and spacious with a comfortably cozy bed. Tea and coffee were available on the second floor landing, which was a nice treat. Breakfast was outstanding, with a varied selection that catered to all tastes. I especially enjoyed the pancakes! The hosts, Marie and Matt, were welcoming and made me feel right at home. Parking was limited and tight, which could be tricky if you arrive late. The bathroom was a bit small, and navigating the narrow staircase with luggage was difficult. Overall, a good experience with some minor inconveniences.
